Psychic Vampire - Acrostic

People we love, people we cherish
Seem to be the people who hurt us the most, at least in my life
You especially…..is this how things are supposed to be?
Christina, you say, my dear friend, I love you
Hear me my dear, I would never hurt you
I see it so differently because of the things you do
Certainly a person that loved you wouldn’t pin you down

Vindictively, knowingly and full of ill intentions
Am I loon for sticking around?
My heart knows I should go, it’s sad, though you belittle me
Pure is my desire for you to love me, for our hearts to connect
In the least, to acknowledge my need, but you can’t even begin to see the crack
Ruptured and in pieces is my heart, I cry, I cry so hard
Even a blind person could see my pain, whats your excuse with your pefect vision?

I am really displeased with this because this was NOT the original direction I was going to take this. I couldn’t get out what I was trying to say so this is what I’ve got. This could have went SO many ways, I’m really excited to see your submissions! I may post a PV 2 in the future :)

A Day of Indifference

It was an odd day
Water crashing against the sand
The sky cloudy dark and still
A day sure to exuded ones
feelings of indifference
Feeling not happy nor sad
Not anxious yet not at ease
Such an odd spot
Feeling nothing at all
I walk alone in the silence
I look at the reflection of the ocean
I see the fish jumping
I hear the seagulls hungry cries
Anything to relocate from the agony within
I find myself at the bridge
The water below, so beautiful, so blue
So inviting
I contemplate many things at this moment
The answer seems so simple
My eyes so glossy; so green
So beautiful, but dead
Can no one see I just wish to be heard?
I wonder the point of physically being alive
If I died inside so long ago
Right foot flat
Left heal raised
Toes arched like that of a ballerina
It is at the moment I am about to jump that I wonder
“If they didn’t care then, what is this going to change?”
Tears well up as I realize there is no winning
Even my own death would be a disappoinment
Because the point wouldn’t be understood
By the ones I wanted to care
The sadness of the truth is hard to accept
As I walk back to where this day began

Proof That Jesus Was….

…Jewish:

1. He went into his father’s business.
2. He lived at home until the age of 33.
3. He was sure his mother was a virgin, and his mother was sure he was God.

…Irish:

1. He never got married.
2. He never held a steady job.
3. His last request was a drink.

…Puerto Rican:

1. His first name was Jesus.
2. He was always in trouble with the law.
3. His mother did not know who his father was.

…Italian:

1. He talked with his hands.
2. He had wine with every meal.
3. He used olive oil.

…Black:

1. He called everybody brother.
2. He liked Gospel.
3. He couldn’t get a fair trial.

…Californian:

1. He never cut his hair.
2. He walked around barefoot all the time.
3. He started a new religion.

But the most compelling evidence of all - proof that Jesus was a WOMAN:

1. He had to feed a crowd at a moment’s notice when there was no food.
2 . He kept trying to get a message across to a bunch of men who just didn’t get it.
3. Even when he was dead, He had to get up because there was more work for him to do.

The Whys of Men

1. WHY DO MEN BECOME SMARTER DURING SEX?
(because they are plugged into a genius)

2. WHY DON’T WOMEN BLINK DURING SEX?
(they don’t have enough time)

3. WHY DOES IT TAKE 1 MILLION SPERM TO FERTILIZE ONE EGG?
(they don’t stop to ask directions)

4. WHY DO MEN SNORE WHEN THEY LIE ON THEIR BACKS?
(because their balls fall over their butt-hole and they vapour
lock)

(You’re laughing, aren’t you?!?!)

5. WHY WERE MEN GIVEN LARGER BRAINS THAN DOGS?
(so they won’t hump women’s legs at cocktails parties)

6. WHY DID GOD MAKE MEN BEFORE WOMEN?
(you need a rough draft before you make a final copy)

7. HOW MANY MEN DOES IT TAKE TO PUT A TOILET SEAT DOWN?
(don’t know…..it never happened)

( C’mon guys, we laugh at your blonde jokes!)

And the personal favourite:

8. WHY DID GOD PUT MEN ON EARTH?

(because a vibrator can’t mow the lawn)

Remember, if you haven’t got a smile on your face and laughter in
your heart…Then you are just an old sour fart :)

If Only - Written by Tim Hunter on my behalf

If Only ( A poem of utter sadness)
Current mood: sad
Category: Writing and Poetry

This poem is quite different for me. First it is free verse, which I have never written in before this day. And secondly it was written after hearing a very tragic tale from one of my friends here. I am not going to name this person but I thank them so much for trusting me with this knowledge of her past. And I thank her for giving me the inspiration to write such a poem as this one. Through many sad tears I wrote this only this morning. And I wept for the tragedy of truth that most of us know about but do nothing about. We should be ashamed of ourselves for allowing this to happen to any child. God bless you dear for telling me your story. And God bless you for being a survivor.

With that said, here is my poem. I hope it serves to awaken us all to such tragedy that it may never happen again. And finally, God bless the children of this world. May they never know such pain and suffering.

If Only

Beneath this mound of fresh turned soil she lies
no marker to announce her presence on this earth
no mourner here to mix the soil with their tears
no kindly priest to tell the Lord that she comes to Him
so wickedly abused and scarred as she is
Yet tragically there are many more mounds to see
and no stories to tell to anyone that would listen
So bruised in body and spirit this child lies still now
taken to a better place than she has ever been before
yet she could have stood beside me now and wept
for the other unmarked mounds in other unmarked towns
had someone just taken the time to care, to listen
to the tragic story of her life,
This mound of fresh turned dirt is now her home
and most sadly the best home she has ever known
and in years to come the ground will shrink
and grass and weed and with luck a flower
will cover it so that no one will remember it is there
Except for me who stares at the mound and weeps
Weeping for all of the mounds that have disappeared
and the children who now lie there within them
And no one cares…no one wants to know the truth
for that would make them an accomplice to it all
and they could never admit that they listened not
and now have helped to place this mound here
Death for those who caused this child to suffer so
No, death would be too easy,
Make them dig the next mound
and make them see the child’s face
Let them know what they have done
then place them on a locked block
overlooking the mound they helped turn
let them stare into the sad sweet eyes
of a child who only wanted to be loved
Only wanted to hold the hand of kindness
Only wanted someone to say they cared
I never knew this child who sleeps here now
I never saw the suffering this child endured
Yet I weep for her as if she were my own
And weep for all of the mounds of the world
that are left nameless and left alone
I weep for a world that lets this happen
I weep for a world that just doesn’t care
Yet I will return tomorrow and the day after
and I will speak to this child as my own
and I will ask God to smother this child with love
The kind of love that she deserved but never had
and I will pray for all the other unnamed mounds
and I will pray that this world will change
and never let this happen to any child again
Oh my sweet child who lies here still
Oh my sweet child who died alone
I mingle my tears with the mound of your soul
and I wish that you had been my sweet child
If only you had been my very sweet child
If only….if only….if only!

Take Off The Blinders

I cut the gas line took out a match
I lit it and threw it with knowing intentions
I wanted to see if they see what I see
Slowly then quickly the laundry room catches fire
It spreads through the kitchen and living room
And the rest of the entire house
Raging fire, windows busting
Such loud noise, such bright flames
Black smoke fills the air
My home is on fire; my soul ablaze
I look out the window and see my neighbors
Expecting horrified looks for what surely
Must be a sight someone just can’t overlook
But much to my disbelief, no one notices a thing

Christina Bledsoe

Authors Comment:

“This is not true people, I did NOT catch anything on fire. The point was to try and display how people nowadays walk around with blinders on taking them off only for things they wish to see. I hope I have done a good job. And sorry Tim, lol, this took zero effort”
