two months ago all I wanted was solitude
I wanted to be just me cuddling myself
sleeping alone
he comes here and says that somehow him sleeping alone
feels right
maybe it is right
maybe all this is right
maybe the hurt is right
maybe this emptiness is right
but it’s nothing that someone else can’t fill
nothing some liquor can’t fill
who cares
turn left
I don’t know how you spend your nights
I’m saying goodbye to you
goodbye to your illogical logic
you are not right
what you want is not right
adieu

Hello, All.
So today I signed up for everypoet.org . It was my first time ever visiting the site, I read several peoples work and I posted very nice comments. I am the Paula Abdul of writing critiques in that if I don’t have anything nice to say I just won’t say anything at all. I don’t want to be responsible for someone giving up his or her dream of writing just because I said something horrible. If I like your work I will let you know how talented I think you are. So anyway I posted about 3 comments on these poems that I thought were really awesome, they made sense, had good flow and had great imagery, a few minutes later I received a comment from the moderator. Below is our exchange:

I chug my tea
and kiss my mom goodbye
get in the car and try to warm up
it’s 44 degrees outside
and my car feels like a freezer
my sunglasses have been sitting in the car
the frame slowly cooleld by the declining temperatures
I try to warm it up in my hands before putting them on
but the sun is blinding
so I slip on the glasses and my face is frozen by the outline of the frames
I like the early morning
but I hate the early morning
I want to stay cuddled in my bed
under my two blankets
and all my pillows
I want to be woken up by kevin’s tiny footsteps outside my door
wondering why I’m still asleep while noon is approaching
but instead
the alarm goes off at 7:15
I don’t get out of bed until 7:35
the first few minutes of the drive are the worst
then he heater does it’s work
and by the time i hit the freeway all is well
I change lanes several time throughout my morning journey
I catch a glimpse of a woman who has the same lane change in mind
the lane is not completely clear
but I make my conquest anyway

Oh my little baby, today is horrible!
Today is the first time you have the stomach flu, I’m not going to rehash it as I don’t want to make anyone sick but I hope you feel better real soon!
It breaks my heart to see you sick and smileless
Feel better soon, I’ve got to get you a wash cloth for your head.
I love you!!
