I’m not the one who makes you forget
forget everyone else
everything else
everything bad
everything that holds you back
everything you despise
everything I wish I could make perfect for you
so I’m not the one
and I’m not really a step above the rest
because if I really was
we wouldn’t be where we are right now
so it’s easier to stop
than it is to make believe
