I find it sick and pathetic that people make money off of someone’s obvious extreme mental illness and/or drug abuse problem. Today’s main example is Perez Hilton regarding the ever so sick Britney Spears. I want to first note that I am a daily PerezHilton.com reader. I really enjoy his candor as to his thoughts and his humor. I can really relate too him in that respect as I am a sarcastic wit myself, but I have to tell you, after all the bashing he’s done lately I was flabbergasted at the fact that he then turned around and is trying to make a profit off of her current condition.

First, supposedly for “entertainment purposes” he has been bashing on Britney on so many levels on his website PerezHilton.com

(1) Joking (or his he?) about Britney Spears having schizophrenia below as quoted:

“Does she suffer from schizophrenia as well???
How many Britney’s are there???
And which is the one on the loose right now????”

Joking about “Multiple Personality Disorder”

(2) In the small rant quoted below he accuses her of “whoring out her babies”, being unfit, and jokes about her children having FAS (Fetal Alcohol Syndrome):

“Whoring her babies out!”
“Sources tell us the pics in the magazine were taken just a few weeks ago, as you can tell by that crazy look on Unfitney’s face.”
“At least her kids look somewhat normal in this photo. They don’t look like they have FAS (fetal alcohol syndrome) anymore!”

That is not entertainment that is pathetic and heartless. Besides that, how can she possibly be a stellar mother when she has never had an example of what one should be like?

(3) Below he continues on and roots for her to disobey the restraining order Kevin Federline has against her so that she will go to jail:

“For the time being, Spears can’t get within 100 feet of Federline. If she does, then she faces arrest.
Do it, Brit! Do it!”

As if she couldn’t possibly be in a worse mental state, Perez sits around anxiously awaiting the Britney Spears Sex Tape:

“A Britney sex tape, on the other hand….THAT we’d want to see!”

No YOU would want to see that, I am not at all interested in seeing “Britney Naked & Mentally Ill”.

Perez goes on to explain how any sympathy he’s accrued for her has quickly evaporated:

“Any sympathy we’ve accrued for Britney Spears over the past few days has quickly evaporated.
The out-of-control mother of two has come out of hiding.
Spears was spotted Sunday morning in Palm Desert, California, (near Palm Springs) with that shady paparazzo, Adnan Ghalib.
Unfitney and the photog had breakfast at the Daily Grill on El Paseo, where Spears was seen drinking a mimosa, champagne and orange juice.
Bitch is crazy! The LAST thing she needs to be doing right now is drinking, much less hanging out with that paparazzo!
It’s going to take more than prayers to help Britney. It’s going to take a fucking miracle.

Finally, to show his honest and utter concern, out of the kindness of his heart, he posts a website titled: WhenWillBritneyDie.com which is a website taking bets on when Britney Spears (also Amy Winehouse) will die and states the “winner” will receive a PS3. Wow, can you imagine telling your friends “Dude, I won this because I correctly guessed Britney Spears death”? Perez you need to dial up Dr. Phil right away, get in-patient treatment, and resolve your issues - Britney Spears is not alone in the unstable mental condition department.

Perez decides to put her in the constant lime light being fully aware of her current condition, accuses her of “whoring” out her children, always joking about her mental status, rooting for her to go to jail, talking about a sex tape, betting on the day of her death and when his website gets to a million + page views he suddenly wakes up and decides, I know, let’s save Britney? No, I think it was much more like: “Shiznat, I have an idea! The Queen’s getting rich, the Queen’s getting riiiich, oh yeah, oh yeah.” He is quoted as saying:
“This is your chance to Save Britney, y’all.

Do the math, a million times $22.00 sounds like $22 million for the “Perez Hilton Foundation” to me. The number may or may not be a million, it may be less, it may be more, but one thing for sure is, it’s money in Perez’s pocket at the expense of Britney’s current mental condition. Even if he were just kidding, jokes are funny this isn’t funny at all.

After all that he has the audacity to post the comment below:

“We’re hearing that Brit Brit is on the cover of the new Us Weekly with the headline Time Bomb.
How many other mags will put Unfitney on the cover this week???”

Unfortunately, Perez’s comment directly above is true, she is a time bomb, but Perez is not the only one to blame, could the rest of society have had anything to do with that?

With Perez Hilton especially, the media, photographers, other bloggers, and radio stations constantly on her every move, every emotion, every second, what do we expect? I know she is a star and stars have a lot of people surrounding them, but give me a break, we can all agree that we’re not giving Britney Spears but a quarter of an inch to breath. I can’t honestly say that I wouldn’t be in the same position myself if I were her, can you?

One person I don’t blame is Dr. Phil. How can we publicly bash Dr. Phil for what he “did”? What did he do?

Now though I am a big fan, that is not the reason I am sticking up for him, I am sticking up for him because my point is relevant and more than likely true. I don’t think he did anything, give me a break, Jamie and Lynn Spears were once again trying to capitalize on their own daughters problems by going to him. I am an avid watcher of the Dr. Phil show and you couldn’t offer me a trillion dollars to get me to believe that Dr. Phil would have planned a show on Britney’s problems and thought about airing it without first discussing it with Jamie and Lynn nor do I believe that he would have went and publicly discussed this issue if any of the Spears family had specifically asked him not to.

So we’re going to bash Dr. Phil and accuse him of trying to capitalize on Britney Spears when he is a licensed psychologist with his decades of experience who deeply and sincerely cares about anyone and everyone and their problems. What about ALL the people that have no other gain but money, Perez Hilton, TMZ, OK magazine specifically amongst the others, the photographers and most saddest of all and the biggest winners, her own parents, Jamie and Lynn Spears. I think we can all look back to recent events where Lynn Spears sold the story of Jamie Lynn being pregnant for an alleged million dollars.

I want to ask everyone, the people I’ve mentioned above, all the people that I am completely unaware of that are profiting off of Britney Spears, the people bashing her and betting on the date of her suicide, the people that were just waiting to hear she had her children taken away, which are absolutely beautiful by the way, and all the other haters and bad wishers, what if this was your sister, your daughter, niece, friend? Think about that, would you be saying “she’s an adult, she can help herself”? I think she’s proven she cannot, would you sit around and bash her down until she killed herself? I wouldn’t, I’d lend a hand and the only price would be her getting better. I’m sure Britney’s kids would much rather her be alive and sick where she has the ability to get better opposed to being dead and never being able to see her again. Stop betting on when she’s going to kill herself, if not for anything else, for her children, imagine for a moment that was your ex wife and those you were your children, sad isn’t it?

You people are pathetic, so, so pathetic and mean spirited! If she does kill herself, which I certainly hope she does not, I think you are all to blame.

I am really not even a Britney Spears fan, but I’m a person and so is she.
