In The Attic of Her Mind

Reality sinks in only sending her deeper into the attic of her mind,
Up with the Christmas decorations she sits dusty and alone,
Praying that she could find,
Some sort of answer as to why this has been done.
A once happy family now torn apart,
By a massive heart attack,
Leaving only one of two parents and half a heart,
She knows things will never go back to the way they were before.
Because of this she drowns herself in coke and rum,
Hiding behind,
The inevitable outcome,
Becoming a prisoner in the attic of her mind.
Locked in invisible handcuffs,
She screams to GOD “Who will help me now?!”
She hears him answer “I know it’s tough”
“But, rest assured, I will help you somehow”
