Whispers Filtered From My Head

This is one of the best poems I’ve ever read and am proud to display it on Christina’s Corner!

its nearing dusk in the sky as the cool rain pours.
and the thunder crashes with the slam of a hundred doors
the whipping wind is chilling our precipitation soaked skin
the tree branches are with in grasp, reaching for our every sin
devouring all but the electrical cloud charged light
night takes over with out the slightest fight
now that the sun is a distant passing thought
I found the courage that I so desperately sought
I take your small, ever so smooth hands in mine
pull you closer to me so our lips are in line
a whisper of words filters from my head
from my mouth, I wished this is what I said
I’ll love you forever. I see stars in your eyes
even when the darkness has fallen over the night sky’s
your voice is a melody accompanied by the orchestra of thunder
how I lived with out you I will always wonder
your motion calms the strongest winds blowing
with the grace of a woman all knowing
and with that you press up against my lips
kissing me softly caressing with out stretched finger tips
our tongues intertwine together
dancing with anticipation wishing for forever
and tomorrow you are gone
leaving nothing but a trace of an unforgiving love song
these were the words I have never said
just whispers filtered from my head
