I Just Wish You Could Understand
I know that you cannot understand my pain,
I just wish you could understand that it’s real,
I know that you are sick of hearing me complain,
I just wish you could understand how I feel.
Sometimes my heart aches and I sit and cry,
Because of the things I wish I had,
Half the time even I don’t understand why,
I waste so much time being sad.
Always away from where anyone can see,
I hide my pain from everyones eyes,
I make them believe I am happy,
By acting upon lies.
I’m depressed about things I cannot change,
Not then; Not now,
Which is why I think it so strange,
I desperately want to be happy I just don’t know how.
