Dear Xayne,

I haven’t written in a few days because you have been terribly sick. You have conjunctivitis, aslo known as “pink eye”

I took you to an optomitrist up the street, Dr. Wes Wheadon, he was an older man, very gentle with you (as he should be). He says pink eye is very common in two year olds. You are two years and three months old. You have been potty trained for one month now!

You are able to speak and have a vast vocabulary. You know the alphabet and recognize letters out of order. Even though I taught you all you know, it still amazes me how smart you are, it amazes most others as well. I work with you every day from things like nature down to different types of tools, you know them all; hammer, screwdriver, etc. You learn quite eagerly and are VERY inquisitive. I answer all your questions happily and to the best of my ability. Oh my little baby, I love you!

We moved to West Hollywood from Canoga Park, which you’ve lived up til now. We’ve (you, Daddy and I) lived here for 10 days now. You love it here and so do daddy and I. We go for walks down Sunset and Santa Monica. It’s amazing, so much to look at; restaurants, clubs, little botiques, and of course, thousand of people. I have no doubt you will grow to be a people watcher like daddy and I.

Today is Sunday, no work, we visited with Daddys friend, Orion. You really like Orion because he chases you and tickles you and throws you in the air. You played with his girlfriends baby, Noah. He is only three months younger than you but you are three times his size. You are a big boy, with that and how well you speak most people mistake you for a 3 1/2 year old.

Well my sweetness, I could go on about how wonderful and smart you are all year so I’ll wrap it up. I love you deeper than I could ever express now and always, no matter what. Daddy too. I vow to always protect you to the best of my ability.
